Bad Mary: Old school New York #punk with a modern vibe

What is the first experience you remember with music?
Amanda started out in Musical Theater, but her dad, Bill our drummer is from a very musical family, and they would often play songs at family functions.

Bill has been playing drums since he was 4 years old and started playing with his family at parties.

David got into guitar when he was 16 while in boarding school in England.

He was suspended from school for two weeks, so he picked up guitar to pass the time.

Mike started playing music in elementary school as a trumpet player, he went to school for music and eventually picked up the bass.

At what time did you decide you wanted to be a singer?
Amanda wanted to be a singer from a young age.

When she was in grade school she got involved in musical theater and loved singing and performing the weirder side of theater.

Rock and Roll came natural after performing in shows like Rocky Horror and Reefer Madness.

What musical personality do you think influenced you most in your beginnings? What are your favorite singers or musicians?
We've always been influenced by - Blondie, The Ramones, The Police, Joan Jett, and other 1970s/1980s punk and new wave bands.

What advice or recommendations would you give to those who are now beginning to sing?
Don't give up.

It's easy in music to get discouraged and decide to give up, but you'll only succeed by doing!

Keep practicing, playing, performing.

Do you want to add something more about your relationship with music?
You'll only get better the more of your heart and soul is invested.
